Aaron Moss

Massage Therapy, ART, Cupping

Aaron’s expertise in manual therapy is grounded in a deep understanding of the mind-body connection. In 2011, Aaron earned his B.A. in Psychology from UC Berkeley, where he developed his skills in the scientific method and pursued understanding of the mind.

For the next 7 years, Aaron worked as an indoor skydiving instructor, where he coached people—from beginners to pros—on how to move and dance in the wind.  During this time, Aaron’s understanding of the mind-body connection grew as he guided skydivers in acquiring kinesthetic awareness in the wind.

Inspired to do more to help people, Aaron earned his A.S. in Health Sciences and a certificate as an EMT.  While in the medical industry, Aaron helped with emergency calls at hospitals and concert events.  Although that work was rewarding, Aaron wanted to be more hands on with patients, and he felt that he could do more to help people as a massage therapist.

After receiving his certification as a massage therapist, Aaron dedicated his efforts to being effective at soft tissue manipulation so as to be a crucial member of your medical team.  To-date, he holds the following certificates:

·      Certified Massage Therapist (CMT#:88533):

·      Advanced Neuromuscular Therapist (ANMT) & Health Educator

·      Active Release Techniques (ART) - Full Body & Nerve

·      Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) - Level 1&2

·      Fascial Manipulation

·      Myofascial Decompression (aka ‘cupping’ as taught by doctors at UCSF)

·      Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Dr. Vodder Level 1)

Aaron’s passion for fully understanding the mind-body connection from a medical perspective sets him apart as a practitioner.  Whatever your situation, Aaron will work with you and your healthcare providers to make sure you get the help you need.

When not working as a massage therapist, Aaron is also a Wim Hof Method Instructor--a practice that combines breathwork, cold exposure, and meditation to help people increase stamina, reduce inflammation, improve mental health, and enhance focus.   Aaron is also an avid Ecstatic Dancer.  His journey to being a better body-worker has been guided by insights made on the dance floor; dancing continues to be a source of inspiration to evolve his work.
