Nan started her career in fitness as an aerobics instructor, in 1981 – when people were wearing leg warmers! She had always loved being active -- and what it did for her body, mind, & spirit – so she decided to make it her career. She went on to get her B.A. in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, then her M.A. in Physical Education at UC Berkeley. Then for the next 26 years, Nan worked full-time in the Fitness Industry -- doing Fitness Management, Group Fitness instruction, and Personal Training – and loved every minute of it. Twenty of those years were spent in Boulder, CO, where she kept very active combing every trail in sight (and there are MANY!) and working with a highly active population.
After working with hundreds of clients over the years, she has discovered that the most direct path to achieving physical fitness is to address body, mind, & spirit at the same time. She’s learned that a complete health and fitness regimen includes: regular exercise, healthy nutrition, plenty of rest and relaxation, and cultivating JOY in life – and she’s happy to coach her clients in each area. With a gentle focus on how we move, eat, and think/feel, we can live with abundant vitality in bodies we love!
