Sabrina Marie MS LAc is a second generation licensed acupuncturist, her grandfather was an MD and licensed acupuncturist who practiced in Hong Kong as well as one of the first to become licensed in the United States. Sabrina has grown up with an innate sense of chinese medical philosophy and an understanding of the importance of holistic health. As an acupuncturist and herbologist, Sabrina completed her education at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medical College in Berkeley, CA. She also volunteered at the Bay Area Veterans Acupuncture Clinic (BAYVAC) which helps to provide free acupuncture treatments to veterans, military personnel and their immediate families. Sabrina’s areas of interest include pain management, internal medicine, stress and anxiety reduction as well as cosmetic acupuncture and disease prevention.
It is Sabrina’s philosophy that health begins from the inside. Diet, life style choices and daily stressors all impact overall wellbeing. By educating and empowering her patients to make the best possible choices for themselves Sabrina helps people to operate at their most optimal. Furthermore she understands the intimate connection between the mind, body and spirit. When there is an imbalance in one area, inevitably there will be an imbalance in the others. Taking this into consideration, Sabrina assesses her patients by approaching all three perspectives to provide the most comprehensive care available. Using an integrative approach and drawing from her broad spectrum of knowledge and experience Sabrina may choose to use acupuncture, herbal remedies, stretching exercises or dietary suggestions to facilitate healing and balance. Sabrina is also certified in Facial Rejuvenation as well as trained in Cosmetic Acupuncture under Dr. Martha Lucas Phd Dipl Ac, LAc using the Mei Zen protocols.
