Karina Hsieh

Karina is a bubbly health nut improving the world one smile at a time. As a certified Group Fitness Instructor, her specialty is in U-Jam, a cardio dance fitness workout set to world beats including Hip Hop, K-Pop, Reggaeton and Bollywood.

Originally from Oakland, Karina fell in love with fitness while studying at Harvard when working out became her method of de-stressing and self care. After graduating, she channeled her Psychology background into her role as an "Happiness Engineer" where she cultivated the company culture: planned events, found inspirational speakers, built their health & wellness program and led college recruiting. In October 2015, Karina embarked on an 1-1/2 year solo backpacking adventure to explore the world. She is now working on two books about her travels and teaching U-Jam to help people become their best selves inside and out!

Karina’s passion is health and wellness. In addition to being a group fitness instructor, she is a certified health coach and has trained in several martial art forms including Muay Thai in Bangkok and Karate in California. To learn more about Karina and her adventures, check out Safe & Solo
