Karen Mighetto Hoefling

 

Karen is a Berkeley native who returned to the area after receiving her BS in Exercise Biology and in Psychology from UC Davis.  After college she worked full time in a physical therapy clinic as an aid.  As her full time job became stressful Karen found herself at the Pilates studio daily as a way to unwind.  She finally decided to take this passion to the next level and become a Pilates instructor.  She completed the BASI comprehensive teacher training in early 2013 and made the career switch to full time Pilates Instructor.  Karen is also a Massage Therapist who keeps herself enrolled in numerous workshops (including Pilates for Scoliosis and Neuromuscular Reprograming), and is always on the hunt for more knowledge and understanding of the human body.

 

Karen has always lead an active life through dancing, gymnastics, rowing, Pilates, hiking, and stand up paddle boarding.  She was turned on to Pilates by her mother who used Pilates as part of her knee rehabilitation program following numerous surgeries.  She loves how Pilates is low impact, can improve range of motion, and provides a whole body workout in just one hour.  Karen is very passionate about Pilates and loves how it improves people’s daily life.   She uses her previous experience in rehabilitative settings and her knowledge of Kinesiology and Anatomy to help her clients recover from injuries and move their level of fitness to the next level.

Tuesdays at 8am, 6:30pm, & 7:30pm

Wednesdays at 5:30pm

Thursdays at 6:30pm & 7:30pm

Saturdays at 10am

Pilates Mat

Saturdays at 9am

Massage available by appointment
